Big Update 2


What's up everyone. It's been a busy summer, much busier than I expected actually. I'll lead with the bad news first. This update has about half the stuff I wanted to include in it initially, I didn't have the time or motivation to develop everything. Even so, progress has been made. As of September I won't be able to work on the game for about 20-ish days, but then I will be back to hopefully finish the second half of this update.

As for the changes:

(the in-game changes list might have some typos and mistakes, I'm sorry, it's pretty late)

  • 1-EX is out. It's unlocked after beating Chapter 2.
  • Changed the experience point curve. This has the result of significantly lowering the numbers of EXP needed for leveling. Most enemy EXP rewards have been readjusted a little bit but leveling is still a little faster than before.
  • Small background code changes for perks, shouldn't reflect on gameplay.
  • Since the main addition for this update is 1-EX, the dungeon tutorial window now gives information on EX dungeons too.
  • Changed trap encounters to be significantly more dangerous.
  • Completely reworked the buff and debuff system to the point where I'm finally somewhat satisfied with it.
  • Only visible change on the gameplay, from the buff and debuff rework, should be that when an effect gets reapplied it refreshes its duration now.
  • Added a scaled unit option in the settings. (The text on the setting explains what it does in more detail.)
  • Added new perks and some higher tier perk upgrades.
  • Added a new progression system that is unlocked after beating 1-EX.
  • The shop sells more potion types now.
  • Reworked the way the game handles printing body part measurements.
  • Due to the above change and having to rush this update out, I had to temporarily disable the printing of bicep size and leg sizes when leveling up STR and DEX. (They still work fine in character description pages.)
  • Also due to having to rush this update, the location that is unlocked after beating 1-EX has not flavor text, only functionality.
