Big Update 3 Part 2


Hello everyone. It's been a bit. Calling this update part 2 of the previous update doesn't really feel right after such a long time. Its develop has been a journey, but thankfully I had finished most of the work for it before my free time completely disappeared.

You may notice that certain things like balance or the text of some passages/menus might seem a little rushed  and that's because it is, most obvious offender is the new NPC's location. I wanted to get something out while I had the time and thought that the amount of stuff already in this version justified an update release.

Here's the changelog, do note that because of the very fractured development of this update, timewise, I might have forgotten to add some things on the changelog:

  • Added Main Chapter 3.
  • Added new NPC with the function of teaching the player new skills.
  • Added Tacticool perks for most NPCs in the game, except the new one. Buffed Pine's Tacticool perk and reworked it to function with the general Tacticool perk gimmick of becoming better the more you grow its corresponding NPC.
  • Added some new normal perks.
  • Lots of new character art.
  • Reworked the Ydata Bead to be more in theme with magic rather than being evasion based.
  • Added skill tooltip support for mobile. Mobile players should now be able to click the little (i) that appears beside skills and view what every skill does in detail.
  • Changes to the shapeshifting menu for the people that use freedom units.
  • Reworked the buff and debuff system again. Mobile users should now be able to click the "EFFECTS:" indicator in battle and check what every active effect does. Also status effect tooltips are more informative now.
  • Added a diameter option for biceps and legs.
  • Added a new health type in the form of an energy shield.
  • Enemies now have magic attack and some can deal magic damage.
  • Fixed a logic bug that would essentially turn any random chance above 50% to function as 100%. Thankfully this didn't play any role in the game before, because no chance could reach 50% or above.
  • Fixed a bunch of text, as always.
  • Reworked the conversion skill a little bit in the hopes of making it more usable.
  • Updated and homogenized skill tooltips.
  • Added a "Detailed Stats" link in the stats screen for nerds that want to have a little peek under the hood. It shows a lot but not quite everything.
