Big Update 1


Hello there, this took a while, sorry about that. This is the update that mainly features the 2nd chapter of the story alongside a bunch of other features. Next update is going to feature a lot of side content and will hopefully come out faster than this one. Hoping I can finish the next update before I've got to go MIA again. Small message to people that want to take a look at the game's code, alongside a lot of reworking of the old code I also added a lot of new systems with this update and, as they are right now, I'm surprised they even work to begin with, they look like a caveman's first attempt at making a club.

Here's the changelog for this update:

  • Chapter 2 of the story is out. Chapter 2 features new enemies, a couple more than the unofficial February update and new encounters.
  • Enemy Descriptions are now a thing. You can view their descriptions during battle by clicking on their names.
  • Updated the battle UI to give it a slightly better look and better accommodate some new features.
  • Added Buff/Debuff system. This is one of the aforementioned new features.
  • Added Enemy Charges. This is a resource that enemies utilize in battle. It's essentially my attempt to make battles less rng dependent and more interesting.
  • The foundations of the NPC growing system are set. You can now grow NPCs but currently there's no descriptions, only their numbers get bigger.
  • Changed measurements universally. Originally they were supposed to be relative to the character's own height, now they're relative to a person of average height. I'm doing this with the hope of making visualization easier and so that I won't have to make some sort of scaling function that makes body parts scale with height.
  • Buffed Goblin Queen. I felt that she wasn't much of a challenge for being the first boss.
  • Slightly nerfed Kiln's measurements.
  • For those that played the unofficial update from February. All the plant enemies have been reworked to certain degrees. Flower Girl was changed slightly. Cactus Girl was buffed quite a bit. Rafflesia Girl function completely differently.
  • Changed the method by which using potions refreshes the page. It no longer reloads the entire page, which used to clear the battle log and was a jarring transition altogether.
  • Fused all the exp stat widgets into one. Lots of unneeded variables removed and code is much more readable now, for me at least.
  • The funny setting  in the settings does the funny now.
