Unofficial Update 1


Hello everyone, it's certainly been a while. I had to go MIA for university reasons. The entire situation lasted a bit longer than I expected, twice as long in fact. But now I'm back and I can finally work on the game once again. Thank you for your patience.

This update is basically everything I managed to do before disappearing. It is not a "finished" update of the game that I'm proud of or anything I just felt like I had to post at least something tangible. Because of that reason, this version of the game will not replace the previous ones that are up the page, it's just gonna be up as a download for anyone curious about the changes and additions. Expect a lot of WIP content upon reaching the outer edges if this version. Here's the changelog: 

  • Stylized the Perks menu. You can now hover over perks to see their effects.
  • The Leveling system can now detect multiple levelups from a single battle or stat training session so there's no longer an overflow of exp.
  • Removed the "Check for level up" button from the stats and perks menu because of the above change making it obsolete.
  • Nerfed the goblins, they can only use their powerful attack twice. To make the start of the game a little less RNG dependent.
  • Tinkered around a little with the encyclopedia. I'm not very satisfied with it so it's probably going to be reworked at a later point.
  • The character creator is complete. Suggestions for further options are always welcome.
  • Nerfed Sam's measurements. She's pretty much mc level on everything except her breast size now.
  • Some text rework and fixes on certain passages adding some descriptions, depth, or more details.
  • There's a handful of new story passages resuming from where the last update left off. Most of them are still WIP
  • Started doing some code optimization alongside a big rework on some of the older passages/widgets and the combat system respectively, this shouldn't really reflect anywhere on the gameplay but dude trust me it's better now.
  • Added a wait action in battle.
  • Essence system added. Essence is gained through various methods and is used in the essence menu to gain perks ranging from numerical upgrades to deeper mechanical changes. There's a few test perks currently but more will come. Suggestions are once again welcome.
  • There are options in town to fight some of the enemies that are upcoming in the next story area of the game. There's also the option to instantly gain 5 essence.
